Software Engineering Intern
We're looking for a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join the Byteburst team and contribute directly to the apps we're shipping. You'll work across the full stack — from mobile UI to backend APIs — and get hands-on experience with the AI-assisted development workflows that are reshaping how modern software is built. This isn't a coffee-and-spreadsheets internship: you'll write real code that reaches real users.
- Contribute to the development of iOS apps built in Swift / SwiftUI, from early-stage features through to App Store release
- Build and maintain full-stack features spanning mobile client, REST APIs, and cloud infrastructure
- Use AI coding tools — including GitHub Copilot — as a core part of your day-to-day workflow to accelerate development and improve code quality
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint planning alongside the founding team
- Write clean, well-tested code and help define engineering standards as we grow
- Research and prototype new features, contributing ideas from concept through to implementation
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Comfortable in at least one programming language (Swift, Python, JavaScript, or similar); willingness to pick up new stacks quickly
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and a basic understanding of web or mobile development concepts
- Curiosity and a bias toward action — you'd rather ship something imperfect and iterate than wait for perfect conditions
- Strong communication skills; you can articulate a problem clearly and ask for help when you need it
- Prior exposure to AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) is a plus, but not required
- Real-world full-stack development experience on live consumer products
- Deep proficiency with AI-augmented development workflows — a skill increasingly valued across the industry
- Direct mentorship from experienced engineers who have shipped products at scale
- Exposure to the full lifecycle of a software startup: product, design, engineering, and launch
- A portfolio of concrete, shipped work you can point to
- Flexible remote working arrangement with meaningful autonomy over your time
- Monthly stipend: INR 30,000 (approximately USD $315)
- iOS: Swift, SwiftUI
- Backend: Python (Flask), REST APIs
- Infrastructure: Linux, Nginx, cloud hosting
- Tools: Git, GitHub Copilot, VS Code
